Former England international, Gary Neville, has said that the possibility of FIFA’s Ballon D’or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, returning to Manchester United, are high.

Some days ago, former Real Madrid president, Ramon Calderon, hinted of the Portuguese player’s unhappiness at the club, citing the transfers of key players, Angel di Maria and Xabi Alonso.

Neville stated that the signing of Di Maria and Ramadel Falcao is a convincing factor that Ronaldo will welcome a return to old Trafford, as the club had shown real intent to go and sign world-class players.

He also said that the prolific goal scorer had mentioned it to him in recent times.

“Does he love Manchester? Does he love United? Yes, absolutely. He has talked more and more in the last 12 to 18 months about how he misses Old Trafford.”

The former United Captain added that the fans would love to have Ronaldo back as there was an incredible belief in the stadium every time he played.

Neville said the reactions from the fans and reception he got at the club was something never seen before for many players; something that only Eric Cantona received.
