Midfield maestro, Luka Modric led his Croatian side to a win over Turkey at the Parc Des Princes on Sunday.
The Champions League winner scored a goal of the tournament contender four minutes to half time when he volleyed a dropping ball past Turkish keeper, Volkan Babacan.
A reply from the Turks was hardly on the cards as Croatia imposed themselves on the game with captain Darijo Srna and Ivan Perisic both hitting the bar in the second half.
This win means Croatia have now turned up the heat on 2-time defending champions Spain who face Czech Republic in Toulouse on Monday.
