Nigerian media personality and political activist Debo Adebowale (Mr Macaroni) has opened up to Chude Jideonwo, sharing insights into how he felt and the things he experienced during the 2020 #EndSARS protest.
The actor and comedian faced a lot during the #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest, opening up in the latest episode of #WithChude. Despite being arrested under the guise of breaking COVID-19 regulations, Mr Macaroni stood against the government and made his voice heard.
He shared his bitter experience with Chude, recalling that he was stripped naked and molested by sadistic police officers.
“It was after that experience that all the fear in me disappeared. That is the twist. I wondered how that happened. Before that moment, I used to be afraid. I felt these people, we know them, and they can just come in and kill somebody,” he said.
