Nigeria’s R&B sensation Darey has attributed the concept of his annual musical concert, Love Like A Movie, to his wife, Deola Art-Alade.
Darey revealed this while speaking on Rubbin Minds on Channels TV on Sunday, revealing that his wife was actually the one who came up with the idea for the show.
He said: “My wife came up with the ‘Love Like A Movie’ idea”
The inaugural edition, which took place in February 2013, was highly commended due to its world class production.
However,it garnered some controversy after its special guest, Kim Kardashian-West who was pregnant at the time, reportedly jetted out of Nigeria after the red-carpet and a brief appearance on stage.
Darey however, revealed that in spite of that episode and the controversy that ensued, the reality star was actually very nice.
He said: “Kim was one of the nicest to talk to.”
The ‘Naked’ singer also added that the show is extremely capital-intensive.
“Love Like A Movie gulps a lot of money, and sponsorship isn’t as big as it should be in this clime.”

The 3rd edition of Love Like A Movie holds next week Sunday at the Eko Convention center, Eko Hotel and Suites.
