‘N785m was spent on anti-B’Haram campaign in Lagos’ – Obanikoro

Former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro says N785m was spent to quell any form of Boko Haram agenda in Lagos, The Punch reports.

According to the newspaper, a source in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) quoted Obanikoro as saying, “…N785m was spent on procurement of souvenirs for the campaign against Boko Haram in Lagos out of which N200m was spent on surveillance activities and N200m out of other remaining funds for operations was managed by the supposed owner of the company, Taiwo Kareem.”

Obanikoro was alleged to have said the money was spent because the then National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki was worried when a bomb blast supposedly rocked Lagos.

Obanikoro who is being investigated by the commission told the operatives that Dasuki said a recurrence of a bomb blast in Lagos will have serious implications for the country.

  1. Evil men. Yet, some fools are clamouring for the release of Dasuki instead of protesting for his death by bomb blast. Demons!!!
