Late Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh, of First Consultants Hospital, Obalende, was on Thursday, 11 September, honoured by friends and family with a ‘night Of tributes’, at the Habour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.
She died from Ebola virus disease on Tuesday, 19 August, after contracting the deadly ailment from treating Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian/American who brought the virus into Nigeria.
Despite immense pressure to allow Sawyer leave the hospital and travel to Calabar for an ECOWAS event, she stood her ground and refused to allow him leave, consequently, saving a lot of Nigerians from being infected with Ebola.
She was a heroine, and will be remembered perpetually.
