Moro said many applicants failed to adhere to the laid down procedure clearly spelt out by the Service before the examination.

According to him, the applicants “did not follow the laid down procedures spelt out to them before the exercise.”

He explained that 520,000 applicants participated in the Nigeria Immigration Service recruitment exercise across the country adding that only 4,556 of these would be recruited at the end of the exercise, based on the available space.

He said this in Jos, Plateau State capital on Saturday, while monitoring the exercise.

He said, “The applicants lost their lives due to impatience; they did not follow the laid down procedures spelt out to them before the exercise. Many of them jumped through the fences of affected centres and did not conduct themselves in an orderly manner to make the exercise a smooth one. This caused stampede and made the environment unsecured.”

  1. You called this impatience? Let me ask you, how much does a tin of milk cost in the market?
For the fact that outrageous number of graduates are unemployed, there is every possibility and chances of "using" to gain entrance for every job opportunity seen. I am very disappointed in your statement, you rather say most of the blame should be on the organization, because, they should have had number of invitees considering space and adequate security placed too. Also, there should have been periodical sechedule for the test.
I feel you never struggled to get job, that is why you uttered such.
