This is a real story – it happened today, at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) high court, Abuja.
Justice Ishaq Bello was forced to adjourn the trial of Olisa Metuh, spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), owing to the impairment of his vision.
Metuh, who is being tried for destruction of evidence, is also facing multiple counts of criminal breach of trust and money laundering.
Justice Bello, who had earlier presided over a case, said he had a problem with his sight when Metuh’s case was called.
“I had a surgery on my eyes, and I am already seeing shadows… so for this reason we will have to adjourn,” Justice Bello said.
He then adjourned till May 26 – when, hopefully, the shadows would have disappeared.
We will be here when he returns.
I was waiting for this type of matter. Thank you very much for the post.
