#OndoDecides: Akeredolu, Oke raise concern over malfunctioning card readers

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been urged to resolve issues bothering on the malfunctioning of its card readers.

In separate statements on Saturday, candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rotimi Akeredolu and his Alliance for Democracy (AD), Olusola Oke called on the electoral body to find a solution so no voter will be disenfranchised.

Akeredolu wrote on his Twitter page, “The reports of malfunctioning card readers are streaming in and we urge INEC to do all it can to ensure no one is disenfranchised.”

Oke on his part called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to find solution to it so that some voters will not be disenfranchised.

However, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mr. Segun Agbaje said the development was a minor error which would soon be corrected.
“It is a minor error, our technical people will move to the area to correct it”.
