Opinion: Fellow Nigerians, let me tell you about a trick called APC

by Daniel Sampson

APC1A wise man once said… “Look before you leap”, to Nigerian, especially our youths and ‘unwise grey-hairs’, I rephrase… “Think before you talk”.

Knowledge and information strengthens the mind against the vulnerability of ignorance, thus with great effort, I overcome my restrained from joining issues as presented in our Mass Media, especially as it relates to the forth coming elections, to bring this piece of information to your knowledge.

On two occasions, as I engaged my thinking chair in search of the truth with respect to our forth coming Presidential and other elections, I made some mind blowing discoveries on the INTERESTS contending for our votes. Remember the “Osinbajo BRT hoax and the Tambuwal end of tenure – which meant no immediate space for him with regard to his new INTEREST – the Sokoto State Government House on the PDP platform – decamping? Since I am not a fan or believer of the Nigerian facts and figures due to their manipulative tendencies irrespective of their seeming factualness, I will stop here and add, to mention but these few. I made this awesome discovery of the trick called APC.

With no apologies to those who will display their ignorance in their criticism of this article, but with genuine respect to the sincere and pragmatic minds in the APC, my discovery as presented here, is not an attack on your person or intelligence, but to inform my “Fellow-Nigerians” that APC if its sincere with its propaganda of “Change” must of a necessity take the next four years and properly mix the necessary and required ingredients in their right proportions and cook the much needed change in Nigeria properly.

To force this change prematurely or half-done down the throats of Nigerians will amount to telling lies, manipulating facts and figures to cause disillusionment and play TRICKS on the untrained/unguarded minds home and abroad, which your so-called leaders are already succeeding in.

One of the successes of the TRICK called APC is exemplified in the recent response of some untrained and or unguarded minds in Nigeria and Abroad on the fallacious sham or rumour that trailed the visit of Mr. President – Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to the Living Faith Church, a.k.a, Winners’ Chapel.

In my soon to be published book titled: “Development, Democracy and Nigeria@50 Plus – the Missing Link… No Facts, No Figures”, one of the salient discoveries that sheds light on the responses in our Mass and Social Media – the unintelligent and imprudent comments, reactions and unpragmatic criticisms that followed this falsehood or TRICK of the APC against one of the most revered, influential and Impactful Nigerian – Dr. David Oyedepo is:

The principal goal of Education is to create new things not to repeat what is passed down from older generations. Education or being informed is not so that you command the respect of Nigerians; it is meant to fill you with knowledge that you meet the needs of Nigeria and Nigerians. Education or information does not empower you to be a critic, it is meant to empower you to create excellence out of nothing.

I refuse to, and strive not to do what I feel or think… I only do and desire to do more, what I’ve discovered.

Now that the trick has been exposed and the truth on the content of the Presidential visit to Canaanland, the headquarters of Winners Chapel revealed, how many apologies or retraction of the unintelligent and imprudent comments, reactions and unpragmatic criticisms addressed to Dr. David Oyedepo and by extension, the Winners’ Chapel Church have we seen on our Newsstands and social media… my wonder!

A wise man once said… “Look before you leap”, to Nigerian, especially our youths and ‘unwise grey-hairs’, I rephrase… “Think before you talk”.

Space will not permit a detailed exposure of the TRICK called APC, but if you replay all their comments, propagandas, conventions and rallies pragmatically; you will discover that APC as constituted presently brings no change but TRICKS to and in Nigeria. For what change does a Tambuwal, a Kwankwaso, an Ameachi, and their likes; who having completed his 8 years tenure (with few months to go) on the platform of PDP, and not patient enough to climb the leadership ladder of his State and Nigeria at large, jump ships and lands on APC Governorship ticket of Sokoto State, APC Presidential Aspirant, Buharis campaign coordinator (at most an aspirant for the Secretary to Federal Government), respectively, etc.

Fellow Nigerians, change is not in the letters – as in PDP to APC. Change is in the quality of character, ideology; believe most especially in the thought pattern of an individual. Fellow Nigeria, Change comes not by where we go, but through what we know. Transformation begins with information.

My conclusion, the APC is simply using the insecurity and the shortcomings of the Jonathan’s Administration, which some are inherent to an adolescent Administration, typical to all past administrations’ first term – Obasanjo the media said had to kneel and beg Atiku (his vice) for a second chance before he became the all-powerful, no nonsense mind speaking “C in C” in his second tenure, Ameachi was tied to the apron-string of his former CSO – Wike – in his first term until he pushed him to the Federal level as a Minister and then became the outspoken uncorrupt governor of Rivers State in his second term. I won’t go on about the Tinubus’ and them so called “progressives” who believed what was good for them goose (in their first term) is not good for another’s gander (to give him a second term) to right his wrongs and end up stronger and better.

The trick of the APC is to disillusion the minds of Fellow-Nigerian by over flogging and manipulating the short comings of the present Administration to their advantage. APC has not stated the ‘how’ they intend to bring about the change they so claim to represent.

To justify the truth that APC is another extension of the PDP – a TRICK – is that, APC has no agenda, no plan, no ideology of their own but a flit of the PDP’s… for what is the difference between the TRANSFORMATION AGENDA of the current PDP Administration and the Change Propaganda of the APC? My thesaurus (Dictionary) tells me that transformation and change means the same thing. Therefore, the TRICK called APC is preaching the same transformation cum change that the Jonathan’s Administration is working at succeeding to bring to stay.

The TRICK called APC in 2015 elections is not about development, advancement or betterment of Nigeria and her citizenry, no, it’s about resource control. It’s about the renewal of Oil well licenses in 2016.

The TRICK called APC is about manipulating facts and figures with the aim of disillusioning Nigerians and getting their votes and opposing and attempting to change the wind of Change cum Transformation that is about to blow the majority of their chieftains and their sympathizers away from their PERSONAL/COLLECTIVE INTEREST – the Corridors of Power and Resource Control in Nigeria; even if it means attempting to tarnish the impeccable reputation of a revered gentleman as Bishop (Dr.) David Oyedepo or instigate indirectly or outright sponsor of insurgency in Northeastern Nigeria, threaten war, parallel government if they fail to win and turn them to political gains for their party.

The truth about the TRICK called APC is that we the pragmatic minds have thought them out and expose same, and before the general elections in March and April, more Nigerians will see them for the TRICK they represent and treat them as such – BAD LOSERS!

  1. We Nigerians who are not as gullible ad you thought we were knew right from the plead of postponement knew pdpigs campaign entourage had nothing but image tarnishing and process of trying to woo minds that are already made up to send failure out if the Nigerian government. You mentioned the opposition using the shortcomings of the incumbent president has a tactics to disillusion the entire public… I believe you never meant to mention that… FG ‘s failure to deal with the present problems that looms the country would however bring opposition. 2011, this same GMB contested on the wing of another party, but few or nothing was said about his manifesto all because the incumbent promised fresh air and him lying to the people to get their votes on the basis of ” I have no shoes “; I think you should ask most men in that age bracket if they had shoes too.. the masses thought since he knows where it pinches, he would know how tackle the problems if the nation but instead, I think we can see how the years he held office gave… Looking at yesterday’s media chat, it shows he has got no idea on how, what, when, why… your thoughts are just so baseless, if you don’t have better things to right, the truth be told, you had better head to the comedy industry
