Oshiomhole fires commissioner, and his reason doesn’t even ‘try’

by Chi Ibe

Edo governor, Adams Oshiomhole today fired his commissioner for commerce and industry, Abdul Oroh.

His chief press secretary, Peter Okhiria confirmed this, saying the sack was with “immediate effect.

In making it clear that this wasn’t an amicable parting, the governor couldn’t be bothered to keep a complex reason for the abrupt sack.

Okhrika simply said the commissioner was sacked “in the public interest.”

The governor then thanked Oroh for his “invaluable services to the state”.

He has also been replaced – already. The governor has approved the appointment of Kerry Emokpare as commissioner-designate.
