Osinbajo investigative panel quizzes NIA DG again

The Presidential Investigative Panel led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday interrogated the suspended Director-general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke, The Nation reports.

President Buhari last Wednesday suspended Oke over the discovery of $50m by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a residential apartment at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos, over which NIA has made a claim.

The National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno was also present at Monday’s meeting with Oke.

The committee is also to investigate the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal over allegations of his involvement in a contract scam in the North East.

The meeting which started around 1.p.m on Monday was still in progress at the time of filing this report.
