Parents arrested as 5-year-old boy tests positive for cocaine

A couple have been arrested in California, after their 5-year-old son was found with a bag of cocaine and subsequently tested positive for the drug.

While investigating the boy’s father, Marco Cuevas, over alleged cocaine deals, Police found the boy in his parents’ car, in Ventura County, California.

31-year-old Cuevas was later found with several ounces of cocaine in his possession, while another half-pound was found in the car. Cuevas and his 29-year-old wife, Sandy, were arrested on the spot.

During a subsequent search of the couple’s home, the police found cannabis, hundreds of prescription pills, and another $75,000 in cash. 16 guns and 3,000 rounds of ammunition.

The 5-year-old boy has been taken into protective custody, while his parents have been charged with selling, conspiracy to sell cocaine and child endangerment.
