The Leader of the Abia State Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sam Nkire says the party will not be distracted from its election campaign promise of stamping out corruption from Nigeria no matter the provocation of the opposition.
According to Daily Trust, Chief Nkire said it would be uncharitable for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to give the erroneous impression that it was the APC that created corruption in the country.
The APC chieftain maintained that PDP’s 16-year reign in Nigeria created and nurtured an unprecedented form of corruption never seen before, adding that the APC-led government of President Muhammadu Buhari came to rescue the people from the “stranglehold of the PDP and its corrupt elite.”
Chief Nkire assured Nigerians that anyone, including APC members, found guilty of corruption would surely be made to face the law.
