With less than six weeks to the new English Premiership season, Arsene Wenger’s men have resumed training. The players that reported for training included vice-captain, Thomas Vermaelen, Mikel Arteta, Abou Diaby, Andre Santos, etc.

The noticeable absentees were Robin van Persie – who has released a statement that he will not be signing a new contract and new signings, Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski. They all have been given extra time off after participating in the Euros.

The first day of training also saw a new coaching team, which has Neil Banfield and Steve Bould on it, take charge of the drills.
