Founder of Terra Kulture and producer of yet-to-be-released ebola movie, Bolanle Austen-Peters on Saturday said Nigerians need to start thinking of ideas that will change the future, stating that people with ideas rule the world.
She said this at The Platform, while delivering a speech titled “Creativity, Innovation and Development”.
Mrs. Austen-Peters cited examples of famous personalities who are indispensable to the world today, because of certain ideas they have developed.
She said oil discovery and dependence made Nigeria and its citizens lazy, stating that Nigeria can exist without it.
“Hardwork is no more synonymous with us.
“Nigeria will exist without Oil. Oil is now a burden more than a blessing.
“People with ideas will rule the world.
“We all need to be more imaginative in our space. We are a consuming nation. How many of us consider creating?
“There’s a lot of gap in Nigeria you can plug yourself into.
“We have a habit of knocking down our own, especially our entrepreneur.”
