[The Presidential Blog] Minister Fayemi’s clap-back to Vanguard Newspapers will make you laugh

Singer, Harrysong has had some time on social media amidst everything else that trended this week. A photo of the singer in a tux next to a “one-eyed” bride has been trending, leading fans to wonder whether the singer is just promoting a new video in the works or if he really tied the knot with the lady in the photo.

Vanguard Newspapers decided to jump on the story. But it is not the rumour that their story tries to clarify as much as the click-bait of a headline that the online news site chose that got Minister of Mines and Steel, Kayode Fayemi’s attention.

But the former Ekiti State Governor – like every sane person – was obviously not impressed with the headline once he read the content of the story, we presume.

He tweeted the above question in response to Vanguard on Twitter.

Apparently, the Minister has not read the worst of Vanguard’s click bait headlines. In February, when the nation was actively questioning the nature of President Buhari’s sickness, the Newspaper ran an unrelated story about a Nigerian with the headline: “Buhari undergoes penis surgery”.

We suggest that the minister catches up with the ridiculousness that the local paper sometimes gets up to by reading this piece we did on it a while back.
