[The Presidential Blog] Professor Osinbajo has the perfect answer to “why Buhari refused to hand over”

Nigerians like wahala. That’s a fact.

President Buhari’s letter informing the National Assembly of his indefinite medical trip to London was read at plenary today on the floor of the Senate and some legislators had a problem with the wording of the letter.

According to those Senators, the letter was not clear enough, especially as regards the transfer of the powers of his office to Vice President Osinbajo. Senator Ohuabunwa’s (PDP, Abia-North) problem with the letter is that it refers to the Vice-President Osinbajo as “coordinating vice president”, a term he says – and he’s right too – does not exist in the Constitution and such “should be sent back.”

The only problem with Ohuabunwa’s reasoning is that the Constitution, frankly, does not care. And even if it did, the President’s letter does not seem to falter from what the Constitution demands.

As always, Nigerians quickly took the matter to heart and a brave one challenged the Vice President directly:

The Vice President’s response?

  1. Pmb’s haters will always find fault with ANYTHING the president does. Even when he brushes his teeth they will find a way to cause ‘wahala’. Rational minded people should just ignore such rediculous tantrums whenever they come up with their childish charade.
