Many artists have showcased their talents all over the world in the past twenty years but few have shown a rare combination of talent, staying power, flexibility, showmanship, and business acumen like R Kelly, Diddy, Jay Z and the likes.
Recently, Vibe Magazine, a well respected voice in the industry released names of artistes in their ’20 Greatest Musical Geniuses Since 1993‘ list with the Pied Piper of R & B, R Kelly, leading the pack.
Before you fault Vibe’s conviction in the profiling of R Kelly, please note their bold challenge against “whoever is willing to place a bet against the man who struggled with reading only to become one of the greatest writers of his generation?”

Based on the criteria of talent, staying power, flexibility, showmanship, and bussiness acumen the list from 1 to 10 should be Rkelly, Jay Z, P-Diddy, Kanye, Dr Dre, Timberland, Missy Elliot, Notorious B.I.G, Thorne York, RZA. Missy Elliot beats Timberland in business acumen and flexibility, but Timberlands staying power outweighs her by a large margin, so that’s why he gets a nod ahead of her. B.I.G is No1 in talent, but had so little time to showcase any of the other qualities so that’s why he is at No8.
