Schools and university empty after deadly girls college attack
Some boarding schools in the Northeast Nigeria have been deserted by terrified students after the attack on Tuesday by suspected Boko Haram sect in which 43 students were shot and hacked to death and the whole school razed at the Federal Government College in Buni Yadi, Yobe state.
The students refused to stay overnight in their schools and colleges in the wake of the attack. Read more…

Fashola renames hall to honour slain Yobe students
A hall initially named after Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola has been renamed the “Peace Hall’’, in memory of slain Yobe school children by the governor.
The renamed hall located at Fadeyi in Lagos, was constructed by the Lagos Zonal Council of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG). Read more….
