Dasuki set to expose ‘former Presidents’ who benefitted from $2.1 billion security funds

The former National Security Adviser, Retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, who’s at the center of the ongoing $2.1 billion arms diversion investigation, is believed to be ready to expose Nigerian leaders who enjoyed from the largesse of his office.

Dasuki and two others were arraigned before a Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja on Monday, on a fresh 19-count charge bordering of money laundering, diversion of public funds and fraud.

Vanguard reports that a close associate of Dasuki revealed that the former NSA was ready to reveal how the funds was disbursed from his office, as well as provide details of serving and retired Nigerian leaders who benefitted from the loot.

The aide was quoted to have said that Dasuki is willing to expose ‘the first in the series of the top beneficiaries, which include former heads of state and presidents’, some of who were allegedly bought bullet-proof Sports Utility Vehicles by the ONSA with funds approved by former President Goodluck Jonathan.

It was also revealed by the aide that all the former presidents and heads of state got one exotic car from the embattled NSA and never bothered to ascertain the source of the funding.

“What is coming will shock Nigerians and many of them will get to know if indeed Dasuki used the money to enrich himself as being bandied in many quarters. As a law-abiding NSA, he had to carry out the instructions handed over to him by the Presidency and nothing more.”

“It is also instructive to note that those who are now blaming Dasuki for carrying out his assigned duties and calling for his head actually benefitted immensely from the security vote, which was domiciled in his office.

The truth of the matter is that all over the world security votes are used for various reasons to bring about national peace and stability and Dasuki could not have done otherwise.”
