Erstwhile White House press secretary Sean Spicer, has been included as a subject in the ongoing investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 US presidential election by special counsel Robert Mueller. Spicer was reportedly questioned by Mueller’s team on Monday as part of its probe.

Spicer was interviewed about the dismissal of former FBI Director James Comey and Trump’s meetings with Russian officials, including Foreign Minister Sergei Lauro, Politico confirms.

Prior to Spicer’s involvement in the investigation, former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus was also interviewed last Friday. Both were involved in an ouster that forced their resignation from the White House in July.
