[The Injustice Blog] Is Okorocha suffering from an inferiority complex syndrome?

If we are to diagnose the actions and inactions of Rochas Okorocha since assumption of office, it is nothing other than an inferiority complex.

According to Wikipedia, “An inferiority complex is a lack of self-worth, a doubt and uncertainty about oneself, and feelings of not measuring up to standards. It is often subconscious, and is thought to drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extremely asocial behaviour”.

Mr Rochas actions can be likened to that of a man that was taken from the village to a city. On getting to the city, he was so fond of everything he saw around him including what served little or no benefit for him, in his quest to feel among, he ate unnecessary things and lived a life not fit for him. This aptly describes who Rochas Okorocha is.

Since assumption of office, he prides himself as the best thing to happen to the state despite the fact that we read newspapers and, get updated with happenings in his state. Sometimes his inferiority complex makes him melt that he creates unnecessary publicity around himself, we won’t forget so soon the aftermath of his “follow come” visit with President Buhari to former President Barack Obama of the United States.

All aides of President Buhari had a chance to meet with President Obama including the Presidential photographer, Bayo omoboriowo, but as expected, Okorocha made a news of his one-minute handshake with Obama and before we say jack robbinson, billboards started springing up in the state to celebrate that great “achievement”. Even Bayo omoboriowo didn’t show us his own picture with Obama until he was paying tribute to him after the completion of his tenure as US President.

If that is not surprising enough, what are we going to say about the N600 million christmas tree erected in Imo in December 2016 which Okorocha described as a tourist attraction? To show how Okorocha played himself, the tourist attraction was removed after the completion of Christmas celebration.

Still in the habit of showcasing himself, Okorocha at his recent birthday was seen cutting twenty seven cakes which he claimed was brought to him by women across the twenty seven local government in Imo. What okorocha failed to do was that he didn’t give us the names of the women and to show how empty his lie was, the twenty seven cakes from the twenty seven local government all had the same design. Only in Okorocha’s Imo state!

The latest of such was the unveiling of a statue in Imo to celebrate his mentor President Jacob Zuma “for his contribution to education“. How statue became related to education is what we don’t know but as Wikipedia said, inferiority complex drives an individual to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extremely asocial behaviour”.
