Security operatives reportedly occupy Deputy Senate President’s Ekweremadu’s residence

Security operatives have reportedly stormed the official residence of the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

This was disclosed in a series of tweets by the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, Kola Ologbodiyan.

Earlier today, the convoy of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki was reportedly blocked by policemen from leaving his official residence in Maitama, the nation’s capital. Saraki was said to be on his way to honour an invitation from the Police when his convoy was stopped.

Saraki had in a statement yesterday said that the invitation was to stop the massive defection of Senators and House of Representatives members from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
