See who won the popular vote for Y!/YNaija.com Person of the Year 2016 | Overall winner to be announced on December 31

And we have a winner – at least for the popular vote!

The Y!/YNaija.com voting for Person of the Year 2016 began in November, and the overall winner will be unveiled to the public by the editors on December 31.

Before that, we have tallied the popular votes – and the winner by a considerable margin on the poll is… comedian, AY Makun.

It appears Nigerians have a soft spot for the comedian-turned-filmmaker who polled 30% of the votes to his nearest competitor, Bring Back Our Girls campaigner, Bukky Shonibare, who got 20% of the votes.
