A choir director in South Carolina was facing charges of sexual assault already when reports emerged that she abused another student with a pencil.

31-year-old Elizabeth Moss, a teacher at Chestnut Oaks Middle School and a mother of three, is said to have abused two teenage boys.

The second victim, a 14-year-old was recently discovered amid allegations that she attempted to use a pencil to arouse him.

Daily Mail reports:

Moss allegedly sexually assaulted the student, then 13 years old, at her home sometime between March and April 2013.

Chestnut Oaks school officials notified the district after hearing Moss had contacted and messaged her students on Facebook, SF Gate reports. The district then called the authorities after determining her online activity was illegal.

Several items were seized from Moss’ home when authorities executed a search warrant on Friday, according to The State.

Moss has been placed on administrative leave, WLTX adds. According to Fox Carolina, she is married to another school district employee and has three children, ages 3, 5, and 12.

On Friday, bond was set at $150,000.

Moss also allegedly assaulted a 14-year-old student in October 2013, when she tried to arouse him ‘by using a pencil,’ The Item reports. She now faces additional charges of second-degree assault and battery.

According to WOLO, one alleged victim’s family joined the bond hearing by phone, and another in the courtroom.

Her spouse told authorities has not said there is reason to think the she has sexually assaulted her own children, but that possibility has not been eliminated, Fox Carolina reports.

Prior to her arrest, Moss was set to take her honors choir students to Atlanta to participate in the Souther Star Music Festival, The Item reports. She was also involved with the Sumter Youth Choir and had earlier worked with a now-defunct choir featuring children from grades 3 through 8, the website adds.

Moss’ attorney Rose Mary Parham said in a statement that ‘These allegations arose after Beth disciplined some of her students at school. She is innocent of all charges and looks forward to her day in court.’

In a statement, district spokesperson Shelly Galloway said resources are available for Chestnut Oaks Middle School students.

‘Counselors are available to assist any student who may be having difficulties with this situation,’ she said.

‘Sumter School District does not tolerate this type of behavior,’ she added. ‘All employees are expected to exercise good judgment and maintain professional boundaries when interacting with students at all times, both on and off school property. This includes any action or conduct communicated or carried out in person, in writing and/or electronically through such means as telephone, email, text messages, instant messaging or social networking sites.’
