Abducted Imam freed, kidnappers get N2m ransom

Sheik Adam Idoko, the Chief Imam of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, has been released by his abductors, after they received a ransom of N2million.

Idoko, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, was released in the early hours of Thursday morning.

He was reported to have reached an agreement with his kidnappers, not to involve Police in his rescue.

The abductors dropped Idoko off at Amala, Udenu LGA of Enugu State, after informing his family that he will be dropped off at Okpo.
