Solid Star finds inspiration in ‘Weed’

Singer, Solid Star’s upcoming album, ‘Weed’ has sent tongues wagging as a result of his controversial choice of title.

The ‘one in a million’ singer in a recent interview with Hip TV, disclosed that the album title does not in any way relate to the conventional meaning (narcotics) associated with it.

“I am not looking at it from the aspect people think. I am just capitalising on the power of that crop- weed. This is one of the strongest crops, even when you don’t want it to grow, it does. That’s the idea behind it. It defines my personality; I am not competing with anybody, I’m just on my own”.

On what to expect, the singer revealed that the album will feature a repertoire of collaborations from A-list artistes. He further disclosed that he already has a song with rapper, Phyno and R&B star Flavour.

“The album is going to be a collabo album. I still want to have a feel of Tiwa Savage’s fans, Olamide’s fans, and buy into Davido’s fans. I am going to be having a whole lot of celebrities. I have a song with Phyno and Flavour, I have one with Davido, Timaya, Tiwa Savage, Patoranking and a whole lot of them”.
