Suspected herdsmen kill 10 in Benue

At least ten persons have been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen in attacks on several villages in Kwande local government area of Benue state, The Punch reports.

This fresh attack is coming about three weeks after the attack on Buruku communities where 20 persons were killed.

The recent attack which lasted for two days was said to have started on Sunday morning and lasted till the early hours of Monday in Kwande communities.

According to sources, the communities attacked include; Ikyoawen in Moon district and Alaba village of Nzaav council ward,  all in Turan area of  Kwande Local government.

It was gathered that the herdsmen began their onslaught in Ikyoawen in Moor district early Sunday morning and killed four persons and moved to Nzaav district Monday, where four persons were also killed.
