Fire engulfed the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company, Delta State, in the morning of Tuesday, October 22.

From reports, the fire started at about 11.00 am from the refining parts of the complex, although the cause of the fire has not been revealed.

It was gathered that heavy smoke can be seen pouring into the sky as the fire has not been put out yet as at when this report was given.

It was also learnt that an SOS has been sent to the  state fire service by a  subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and have also called on the companies that have private fire fighting equipment to help in quenching the fire.
