The death toll of lives lost to Boko Haram was again increased yesterday as suspected members of the sect reportedly shot dead three policemen in Kano.
The ancient city which had begun to enjoy an uneasy peace saw trouble rise again at about 9:40 pm last night at the Kabuga quarters area of the state.
According to reports, the sect members invaded a particular spot where the policemen were keeping vigil. The terrorists shot and killed them before escaping.
Residents confirmed the killings. Police spokesman Mogaji Majia said he was aware of the killings, but had not been officially briefed.
