Suspended member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has asked Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to order the arrest of politicians making treasonable statements.
He was reacting to the power tussle between the Executive and the Senate over the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu.
In a series of tweets. Jibrin wrote, “Acting President Yemi Osinbajo saved the fight against corruption by standing firmly with Magu. We must all support him to sustain the momentum.
“Magu is upright and has shown rare courage in the face of blackmail and intimidation. He must go ahead and continue his job ruthlessly.
“The Acting President must with immediate effect order the arrest and prosecution of some politicians that are making treasonable statements.
“Those promoting such reckless statements must know Acting President has powers to arrest any body be you no. 3, 4 or 10 citizen if found wanting.
“The constitution is explicitly clear and any attempt to subvert it must be dealt with decisively by the Acting President and Commander in Chief.
“While we pray for quick recovery and return of PMB, Acting President must send a strong signal that under his watch nobody can push Nigeria towards anarchy!”
