One of the biggest musical events in the world took place last night and Wizkid was billed to perform alongside music greats like Beyonce. Guess what? He didn’t show.

Coachella announced the disappointing news on Twitter to which Wizkid followed up with an explanation of “visa issues”; but Nigerians will not be consoled. They cannot believe that their starboy; the only one that manages to walk in Fela’s shoes, their afrobeats fix will pull this kind of stunt once again. Those with long memories have cited previous instances where Wizkid pulled the visa card to get out of scheduled engagements, but a number share Wizkid’s pain.
Who do we believe? It’s too early to call, as we we were not in the visa office with him, however, it must be said that it does nothing for Wizkid’s career to deliberately manufacture a fib just to get out of mounting the Coachella stage. Absolutely nothing! So it’s hard to believe that he lied.
Still, in these matters of controversy, Twitter always has the louder voice- and the last word.Let them break it down for you.

I remember a group of us were supposed to go for the same training. Half of us were issued visas, the other half weren't.
