Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Governor of Lagos state and godfather to our Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, had stinging words for Goodluck Jonathan at a book launch in Aso Rock recently.
“One minister and her rogues’ gallery picked the pocket of this nation for billions of dollars. While poor at governance, these people could give a master thief lessons in the sleight of hand. In governance, they earned a red card but in corruption, they won the gold medal.”

Ouch. That must have hurt.
Indeed, from these replies by GEJites, it did. But GEJites do not pull punches, they basically reminded Asiwaju that a pot cannot call a kettle black.
When a Tinubu can be loud in attacking GEJ on issues of corruption. I began to wonder what has become of us as a country. For someone who converted the whole of Lagos to his private enterprise?
Anyway,Jonathan has given him a smart response.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu calling Jonathan government corrupt? Na wa o, it is the dryness of the river that made the tadpole challenge the fish to a fight.
In another season, the river would be full again, then we shall know the true place of the tadpole

Tinubu’s comment on GEJ, corruption..
GEJ was a president. Tinubu was a governor. GEJ has no private jet. How many does Tinubu have?

This one knows that by 2019, his Political dynasty will still not go beyond Lagos & 'his boy' remaining a docile Vice-president. That will be Tinubu's legacy for supporting Buhari. .
