Nigerians are always saying that the Nigerian Police is ineffective and downright corrupt. They buttress these points with true life experiences. Yet the Police keep insisting that they are our friends and do-gooders.
From the stables of Twitter, as usual, comes another story of a foiled kidnapping, thanks to the victim keeping his wits about him and refusing to be intimidated.
See below:
1/ Are @PoliceNG, @NGRPresident, @MBuhari, @ProfOsinbajo and @AkinwunmiAmbode aware that there are armed men with AK47s using the cover of SARS to harass and intimidate (and sometimes rob) Nigerian citizens?

Reactions:
Whenever I see threads like this, I must reshare. Brutality like this happens on a daily basis, and until the Police leadership makes it stop, we have to keep letting the world see how evil they are. https://t.co/WHikG5TcsZ

They're aware, but @PoliceNG_PCRRU and @YomiShogunle will ask you for the name of the robbers, how they're robbing you & why. Then mark the case as "resolved" when you can't do that (if they open a case at all). They'll then say they're the best in Africa. @nassnigeria @NGRSenate
