Tight security as Jonathan visits Bauchi
There was tight security in Bauchi town as President Goodluck Jonathan attended the North ast grand rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Access roads inside Bauchi metropolis were blocked with heavily armed security personnel.

Fayose pleads for a chance to govern Ekiti again
PDP candidate of the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti, Ayo Fayose, has appealed to members of the party to give him chance to govern the State again.
Fayose made the appeal at the national secretariat of PDP in Abuja when he came to collect his Certificate of Return.
He told newsmen that he had commenced reconciliation moves with aspirants who had contested the party`s ticket him. Read more….
Insecurity: Jonathan blames governors
President Goodluck Jonathan has blamed the governor of the states troubled with insecurity in the North East part of the country accusing them of failing in their duties.
Apparently referring to Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State and Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State, Jonathan at the North East Zonal Rally of the PDP in Bauchi on Saturday, Jonathan said it was wrong for the governors to blame the federal governor for the situation in the states. Read more….

Alleged N416m fraud: Fayose must face trial before governorship poll, court insists
A move by the PDP candidate in the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, to have his trial for fraud shelved till after the poll, has hit the rocks.
The Federal High Court on Thursday rejected Mr. Fayose’s prayer to defer his trial for alleged N416 million fraud until after the election.
He said he needed to concentrate on prosecuting his governorship ambition. Read more….
