Tillerson never called Trump a moron, he doesn’t use such words – Spokesperson

A State Department spokesperson, Heather Nauert has denied a report alleging that Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson called President Trump a moron.

Reacting to the report Tillerson reaffirmed his support for Trump, saying he never thought about stepping down from his post. He, however, failed to comment on if he ever used the word “moron” to describe the President. He insisted, “I have never considered leaving this post”.

The Secretary added that his commitment to Trump and the administration “is as strong as it was” on his first day in office and that the president has “given voice to millions who felt completely abandoned to the political status quo.”

When asked if he ever used the word ‘moron’, Tillerson replied, “I’m not going to deal with petty stuff like that. This is what I don’t understand about Washington. I’m not from here. That kind of petty nonsense — it is intended to do nothing but divide people”.

The spokesperson in defence of the allegations said, “The secretary does not use that type of language. The secretary did not use that type of language to speak about the president of the United States. He does not use that language to speak about anyone … he did not say that”.
