Every day on the Nigerian internet, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social matters, etc. Sometimes, they are just downright ridiculous. We make it our job to take down the names of these noisemakers.
Here’s our list from today:
1 Amaju Pinnick
You can always count on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to mess up when it most counts. There’s a laundry list of Dalung’s disasters during the Rio Olympics, so when we heard the NFF fielded a suspended player and incurred the wrath of FIFA, it wasn’t entirely a surprise. What is surprising is that Amaju came forward to take full responsibility for their stupid decision.
It was a lack of due diligence in and by one of our departments and we are ensuring that errors like these never happen again. On behalf of all of us at the @thenff; I apologise, Nigeria. Our focus remains. We will soar higher.
Thank you.

2. Chidi Odinkalu
#NoNGOBill trended on Twitter today as civic society and stakeholders opposed the NGO bill at the House of Representatives today. At the forefront was Chidi Odinkalu and Bishop Kukah, who maintained that undemocratic laws must not gain a foothold.

“This is the worst piece of legislation in Nigeria’s history. Under the bill, any civil society group advocating for human rights, basic freedoms, and good governance can be shut down and criminalized." – Femi Falana #NoNGOBill

Because of our clamoring for #OpenNASS, they want to stifle and criminalize NGOs.
We will not relent till they are transparent and accountable.#OpenNASS

We already have the laws and institutions in place. The #NGOBill is an added layer of bureaucracy that serves no purpose. #NoNGoBill #thewalk @Globalrightsng @StandtoEndRape @WRAPANG @SOARInitiative @ChidiOdinkalu @bbiodun @IWEIng @cislacnigeria @Neieffellows @freshlife6 pic.twitter.com/ZHY79mOV3u

5. Reno Omokri
We’d probably never exhaust this topic of Pastors owning private jets. That said, Reno fires at Charly Boy.
I don’t get Charly Boy’s complaint about Nigeria not having a National airline yet pastors have private jets. Are pastors responsible for Nigeria not having a national airline? What is the connection? Is this senility? Are pastors the politicians that ruined Nigerian Airways?
