Every day on the Nigerian internet, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social matters, etc. Sometimes, they are just downright ridiculous. We make it our job to take down the names of these noisemakers.
Here’s our list from today:
1. Between Omojuwa and RuggedyBaba
It started this way:
The Vice President or Lagos state Governor yet to say anything. Our leadership is too faulty!!!
— JACOM (@Tomiwaayo) December 3, 2017
Then later:
The Vice President’s office has been in touch with me. I gave more insight into the SARS menace. Fingers crossed for action on their part. https://t.co/F4oopzRmSP
— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) December 3, 2017
Ruggedybaba joins the conversation:
But are they supposed to be in touch with one person or address the general public? Government offices arent private business. The day they start respecting the general public n addressing them is the day real positive change starts. https://t.co/feqZsVEHvB
— Ruggedybaba Ruggedman (@RuggedyBaba) December 3, 2017
If Twitter babies reply tweets for retweets & attention, those we respect should do better than join such a bandwagon. I reached out as a citizen, they got back to me. Someone tweeted to say no response, I said I got one. I guess misunderstanding things suits twitter better. https://t.co/wj45jTrwYA

2. Aisha Yesufu
She reacts to Atiku Abubakar’s return to the PDP.
I also know that Nigeria can do much more than @mbuhari and @atiku that many are already fighting over.
That @atiku wants to be President is a choice and i have no issue with. That he went back to PDP is predictably too easy. He could have done better. Take the notch up higher.— Aisha Yesufu (@AishaYesufu) December 4, 2017
Businessmen and Entrepreneurs are not known for taking the easy way out. They are known for being innovative. There was no innovation in going back to PDP. Since losing elections what has PDP done to show they have regards for Nigerian citizens?

3. Chidi Okereke
Another heartbreaking account on the #EndSARA trend.
Mrs Kudirat Adebayo had contact with SARS, today is 8 months since she was killed. We have reported but you people have done nothing. Don’t piss me off. #EndSARS. https://t.co/dVI0pxbUDO
— Chidi Okereke (@Chydee) December 4, 2017
And a post-reaction:
While I’ll encourage everyone to weigh their options very well (don’t listen to propaganda, use your brain, follow your heart) before they vote in 2019, I cannot even be mad at people who refuse to support or vote any candidate. All our politicians are mad.
— Chidi Okereke (@Chydee) December 4, 2017
4. Double Eph
Still on the matter…
Nigerian Police snidely launch their own hashtag because, you know, the relationship between Nigerians and their govt is a constant game of gidigbo https://t.co/NXCYltdmms
— tyro (@DoubleEph) December 4, 2017
5. Phil Howarth
Never give up!
sometimes u just feel tired feel weak & when you feel weak u feel like u wanna just give up
But u gotta search within u
& gotta find that inner strength & just pull that shit out of u
& get that motivation to not give up
And not be a quitter no matter how bad you wanna just fall— PhilHowarth (@PhilHowarth) December 4, 2017
6. Fayose’s proposed Christmas gift
Fayose says he will buy Christmas clothes for 10,000 children in Ekiti. Hope he will also give them Christmas food?
Who will buy them clothes in December 2018? In 2017, leaders are still engaged in stupidity. Same state owing salaries of many months.
— Adeyanju Deji ?? (@adeyanjudeji) December 4, 2017
The reply:
Those retards will gladly collect the robe of shame he gives them https://t.co/y0cDINTsc7
— ayowole (@diekolope) December 4, 2017
7. Ayo Jaguda
What do you think?
I pray they give all of you that applied for visa to leave Nigeria
— Ayodeji Ajayi (@AyoJaguda) December 4, 2017
8. Ogbeni Dipo
Nothing more true. The waste of resources should have stopped.
I was at a gathering in 2015 where I said Ministers and Service Chiefs need to stop going to meet the President at the Airport or welcome him back when he returns. The general consensus was “Dipo you don tay abroad o, why make them stop am?”
— Dr. Dipo Awojide (@OgbeniDipo) December 4, 2017
We argued and argued and argued and I said Buhari will stop it. My guys said “leave that thing, stop fire. It will continue.” They were right. It continued.
— Dr. Dipo Awojide (@OgbeniDipo) December 4, 2017
A whole Governor will leave his State, fly to Abuja to go and see off a President who is traveling out. Then, some will go welcome him again. We should have stopped all this nonsense in 2015.
