President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Tolu Ogunlesi as his new Special Assistant on Digital and New Media.
Ogunlesi’s appointment comes a few days after Bashir Ahmad, was appointed as personal assistant to the president on new media.
The announcement was made through the president’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, on Thursday, February 18.
Ogunlesi, who has worked as a West Africa editor for The Africa Report magazine, is a two-time winner of the CNN Multichoice African Journalism Awards.
