According to the statement released by Akpabio’s media team, the rumours were suggestive from propagandists and fifth columnists.

The Presidency has alerted the Organised Labour that the President, Bola Tinubu, intends to transmit the proposed bill on new minimum wage to the National Assembly once it is ready.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, pleaded with Nigerians not to pressure the President as he was working tirelessly to ensure that he approves the right figure for the new minimum wage before sending it to the National Assembly as a bill for approval.

ASUU calls out Tinubu’s administration as the worst in anti-labour policies
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Unilorin chapter has described the Tinubu administration as the worst in anti-labour policies.
The Union’s chapter had recently staged a peaceful protest to alert the government of the falling state of the nation and its educational system, but their demands were disregarded.
The branch chairman of the Union, Comrade Felix Akanmu, aired his opinion regarding the presidency, reminiscing about a year ago when Nigerians still had hope for a better country.
“We were deceived by bringing on board people who led protests in this country. But they are now acting contrary to nature and have been more anti-labour in their operations,” he said.
