Dismissing the assertion of critics, President Donald Trump has doubled down on his reform agenda, reiterating that, tax cuts will encourage companies to stay, grow and hire in America and will also be fair to working American families.
Trump disclosed this shortly after a tax reform pitch to truckers just outside Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Wednesday.
“We need a tax system that is FAIR to working families & that encourages companies to STAY in America, GROW in America, and HIRE in America??,” he wrote in a tweet.

In the speech with the truckers, Mr. Trump said the country cannot get on the track it needs to be on without reforming the complicated tax code, explaining his plan to simplify the number of tax brackets and slash taxes on businesses. The president also argued that his plan is pro-family, pro-business and pro-growth.
“The more than 30 million Americans who have small businesses will see — listen to this — a 40 percent cut in their marginal tax rate,” he said”.
In addition, the president said his tax plan will give the average American family the equivalent of a $4,000 pay raise.
