Trump sends congratulatory message to Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping over sustained leadership

President Trump has congratulated Chinese Prime Minister, Xi Jinping over the success recorded at the Chinese ruling party congress which guaranteed a continuous leadership for the Chinese leader and could see him become the most powerful Chinese PM ever.

Trump who spoke to the PM on phone also claimed they discussed the lingering North Korea crisis which has ignited an ugly development in the world politics and trade issues between their respective countries.

“Spoke to President Xi of China to congratulate him on his extraordinary elevation. Also discussed NoKo & trade, two very important subjects!”, Trump tweeted Wednesday afternoon.

In another tweet, Trump expressed his euphoric anticipation of his meeting alongside First Lady Melania Trump with the Chinese PM and his wife during his forthcoming Asia tour.

“Melania and I look forward to being with President Xi & Madame Peng Liyuan in China in two weeks for what will hopefully be a historic trip!”

The White House disclosed that the US President will embark on a tour to the Asia-Pacific region which will see him visit Japan, South Korea, China, Philippines, Vietnam and a stop over at Hawaii between Nov. 3rd and 14th.
