There must be few people that don’t know who Afolabi Durotoye, more popular as Beazy is. For the past 35 weeks, he has been dropping a single! The buzz that leads to each track and greets its release is always massive.
But that’s the much some folks know about the uber-talented rapper. This week however, we feature him as our next YNaija Twitter Personality and reveal a bit more about him.
How did you get on twitter?
A friend of mine opened and ran an account for me. I couldn’t wrap my head around it at first but I decided to give it a try eventually and here we are.
Who would you say is your favourite tweep?
My favourite tweep is definitely @lumidizzle. His timeline is ‘real talk’ central. It is jokes for days.
Is there any particular tweet you’ll never forget? Tell us about it.
Yup there definitely is. It was by Sokleva of the Rooftop Mc’s and I damned nearly fell off my chair laughing when I read it. It was: @Sokleva: “Me I likeEggs eggs, Me I like Eggs Eggs, Me I like Eggs Eggs, Eggs wey done done done done done! Emi o le jeyin ti o fry jeyin ti o fry!!!”. I’ll let you figure out for yourselves what he was getting at. It’s ridiculously hilarious.
Have you had any embarrassing/memorable experience on twitter? If yes,what happened?
Luckily, I’ve had no embarrassing moments just yet.
What are the downsides of being on twitter?
To be honest, I can’t think of a single reason.
What are the upsides?
As an artist, it puts me in touch with my fans like never before. It’s fantastic!
Do you follow back readily? Why?
I don’t. I enjoy tweeting too much to defile my timeline in such a manner. I like to follow funny people. I’m not interested in people who take themselves too seriously.
What would possibly make you close your twitter account?
I haven’t the slightest idea. Wande Coal didn’t delete his account so I can’t imagine what would happen to make me delete mine, lol!
