Teen Y! Celebrity Career School Tour stormed Dowen Collge Lagos today and it was one huge event. The idea of the career tour was brought to life in a bid to inspire and motivate teenagers and secondary school students. The aim of this is to help the students dream big and aspire to be greater than they are by interacting with some celebrities who have unique and inspiring stories. This year’s theme is “Creating a Path for Yourself’. This edition featured world class rapper Vector, top fashion designer Mai Atafo, singer Lami Phillips, Soundcity VJ Moet Abebe and Mobile gaming guru Zubair Abubabkar. Each of these celebrities used their life stories to inspire the students and they sure left fired up to do more! The editor of Teen Y! Yemi Obamedo kicked off the event by giving an introductory speech about Teen Y! The founding partner of RED Media Africa (of which Teen Y! is a sub-brand) Adebola Williams further used his life experience to inspire the students. Mai Atafo also taught the students the importance of education in the fashion industry. Zubair Abubakar spoke about the importance of students getting involved in the technology industry. Vector who is an award winning rapper taught the students on the importance of education in music. Moet Abebe further motivated the students on TV presenting and why they should stick in school.
