Utibe, the 5-year-old schoolboy who went viral for singing Davido’s ‘IF’ has lost his mum.

This comes 20 days after the disclosed that he was building a house for the internet sensation and his mother.

An Instagram user @shamrock80s, who first discovered Utibe, shared the news on his Instagram page.

“Rest in peace Utibe’s mum, You struggled to live, you were always telling me that you wanted to start a business; I told you to recover first.

“Now I hear that you are gone so soon. If life was to be sold, I would buy some more years for you.

“I tried to battle for your health but my best was not enough. Who will look after Utibe and the two younger sisters?

” Who will live in the house we are building for you? I just wish you slept in that house even for a second. My heart is heavy but God knows best.”

Davido had promised to sponsor the boy’s education and well-being after the video went viral.
