“we’d planned what we were going to do with the one million naira sef”

It’s Don Jazzy Again! Well, you know how that goes.

The popular producer recently sat down for an interview with Hip Hop World where he spoke on such issues as his beginnings in the United Kingdom, and how he met and teamed up with D’Banj. Dressed in his trademark tee shirt and pajama bottoms, the music heavyweight revealed that he (and presumably D’Banj) almost sold Mo’ Hits records to then Storm Records, but the deal fell through because, “Obi Asika was dulling.”

“At some point when things were critical, we almost sold Mo’ Hits Records to Storm Records for 1 million naira, and it’s not like we changed our minds; it was them, they were dulling. Obi Asika (laughs) I’m sorry sir.”

Well, we can’t say we’re not thankful that didn’t work out as we would most likely have missed out on their inspiring success story.
