Chimamanda Adichie announces birth of twin boys at 47

The acclaimed author Chimamanda Adichie welcomed twins with her husband when she was 47. The boys, born in April 2024, were revealed during an interview, in which she shared that she chose to keep their birth private for their protection.
“I want to protect my children. I’m okay with mentioning them, but I don’t want the piece to become about them,” she said.
“So, here is the thing: Nigerians are nosy. They want to know about your personal life. Because of that, I am resistant. I very rarely talk about it,” she said.

Laff Ijuo, a Nigerian entertainer, has reached the 28-hour mark in his effort to set a new record for an individual’s longest stand-up comedy performance, aiming for a total of 50 hours.
He began his ‘Laughter for a Cause’ marathon on February 14 at the Banex Mall in Lekki, Lagos. In a recent post on Instagram, Ijuo announced that he has surpassed 28 hours, positioning himself among the top three longest stand-up comedy shows in history. He encouraged supporters to cheer him on as he tackled the remaining 35 hours.
Laff previously shared that his record attempt is to raise $1 million for the Talent City Naija (TCN) initiative. He explained that Talent City Naija will serve as a hub for Nigeria’s most talented and creative young individuals to flourish.

A video has surfaced on social media showing 2Baba with his new girlfriend, Natasha Osawuru, as they shop at a hair store.
In the footage, the singer and Natasha, an Edo state lawmaker, were casually shopping for hair products at an undisclosed location.
This comes from concerns raised by 2Baba’s family about his “sudden disappearance.” The Idibia family has filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS), claiming that 2Baba has been missing since February 10.
