The internet was agog as everyone fired Nigerian media personality and TV host Toke Makinwa with congratulatory texts on her “wedding celebration”.
The media personality was dressed in all-white apparel and was seen beside her man, Farouk Umar, whom she later addressed as her friend, in church, sharing a moment.
Toke Makinwa addressed the marriage rumours, saying she was in church for Thanksgiving service and shared her testimony but had not yet wedded.
“On Obasanjo’s internet, they said I got married to this guy. This guy is my best friend o, listen, on Toke Makinwa’s internet, they said I married Farouk. Farouk my friend, ore mi.. this is my nigga and my friend, my brother, who wan marry you. Farouk held me down when there was nobody,” she said.

Famous Nigerian actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli revealed in an interview with comedian AY Makun that she once lost a movie role for refusing to kiss a director.
In her narration, she said she had just returned to Nigeria after taking a break from the film industry to focus on her family abroad.
“One director asked me to kiss him at an audition, and I couldn’t understand why he would do that. So I was like, ‘Is this an audition?’ and he was like, ‘Yeah, I just want to see,’ and I said, ‘Sorry, I can’t do it because I didn’t see any reason I would be kissing you the director when we are not on set,” she explained.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke (Davido) surprised his audience by performing an unreleased song with YG Marley at the Lauryn Hill Paris Concert this last weekend.
The Afrobeats singer also performed a rendition of his smash hit single “Unavailable” from his Timeless album. He said that the new song would be his first single of the year 2024.
Oluwadolarz claims a music executive made sexual advances on him for a song promotion
Nigerian skitmaker Oluwadolarz, also known as Ogunleye Babatunde Olamide, took to his Instagram page with over 4 million followers to accuse a music director of demanding sexual intercourse with him for the promotion of his songs.
The skitmaker had hinted that the music director was a gay man who wanted sexual favours in exchange for helping Oluwadolarz promote his music.
The skitmaker was vexed about the sexual harassment and exploitations going on in the entertainment industry for both men and women who are looking to get themselves into mainstream media.
