‘Why should I speak up for you?’ Is Deju Adeyanju taking subliminal attacks at Obanikoro?

New Media Director of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Deji Adeyanju, on Wednesday took to his Twitter page to lambast an unknown associate for not speaking up against the impunity of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission under President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adeyanju, who was not particularly pleased with the said associate castigated him for keeping quiet when the Buhari-led government started arresting several key figures in the party on charges of corruption.

He further told this unknown associate to dance to the music of his oppression alone as he did not lend a dissenting voice when the government targeted key opposition figures.

Going by the context of his rant on social media, it is believed that even though Adeyanju did not call any names, he is most likely referring to Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, a fellow compatriot of the PDP.

Yesterday, EFCC operatives stormed the Ikoyi homes of Senator Obanikoro even without an invitation extended to him from the commission.

In reaction, Obanikoro, who relocated to the United States of America shortly after the change in government from PDP to the All Progressives Congress, threatened to take legal actions against the government for illegally breaking into his home.

Obanikoro enjoined party members to speak up against the impunity displayed by the EFCC and the government of Buhari.

Deji Adeyanju however, apparently has other ideas.
